Can I contact a law firm about my Thine application?
If law firms are interested in pursuing you as a candidate, they will reach out to you directly using the contact information you provide in your application.
Can I apply to more than one law firm?
Yes! We’ve designed this platform to provide you with direct and open access to job opportunities at law firms. We encourage you to apply to as many opportunities as you are interested in.
What if I already interviewed with the firm before?
We can’t guarantee that a law firm will review your application again, but there’s always a chance!
What if I’ve already applied and been rejected by a participating firm?
Try again! We can’t promise you that our member law firms will take a second look at your application, but this is your best bet that they might reconsider you.
Can I withdraw my application?
Yes. If you’d like to withdraw your application, follow these steps: 1. Log into your account 2. Click into the law firm application you would like to withdraw. 3. Below the Submit button, click on the Withdraw My Application button.
What if I run into issues?
If you run into any issues or technical difficulties, reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
02. Data Use + Storage
How is my data being used?
When you take the assessment and submit your application for a specific opportunity, we share that information with the law firm you applied to so that they can better evaluate your candidacy. We will also use assessment data on an aggregate basis to improve our product’s AI.
We currently allow candidates to retake the assessment after 2 years.
What happens after I take the assessment?
After you complete the assessment, you’ll be able to apply to a number of job opportunities. You’ll also receive a competency report that highlights your top three strengths and top three development priorities to aid you in your professional development. The law firms that are interested in pursuing you as a candidate will reach out to you directly using the contact information you provided as part of your application.
Will my law school see the results of my assessment?
Nope. Only you and those involved in hiring at the law firm(s) you apply to will have access to any of the results of the assessment. That said, it might not be a bad idea to share your development report with a career counselor to aid in your efforts to strategize and prepare for your interviews.
04. On-Campus Interviews (OCI)
How does this impact my participation in OCI?
Our platform is simply an add-on to existing interview programs. We provide legal employers with objective metrics that serve as just one aspect of evaluating your candidacy. It’s up to you to put your best foot forward in the interview.
What if I bid on a participating firm for OCI?
No matter, take the assessment and apply!
What if I couldn’t get on a firm’s schedule at OCI? Can I still apply?
Great news! We built this platform specifically for this reason. If you couldn’t get on a firm’s schedule at OCI you can still be considered for opportunities at that firm. Simply take the assessment and submit an application to that firm’s posting.
What if I’m already scheduled to meet with a participating law firm? Do I have to take the assessment?
Follow the instructions the law firm provides. While taking the assessment is not required, we recommend that you do. The law firms participating want to hire the best talent and are using this platform to do so.
